Around 12pm Pacific time we suffered a database crash and thankfully Hostgator was fast to fix the issue. We will try to investigate what went wrong and if any of the new plugins we installed are to blame. Anyways, we want to apologize for any inconvenience that it might have caused. We also learned that our “backup” system was not working as it should have been, there were a few moments of freaking out but good thing it was only a database crash.

First of all I want to wish a late “Happy Birthday!” to keonda. Our main administrator!!! He has been working on the site, a few issues we had last week with some WordPress plugin that was not working right. Also the site has been going a optimizations behind the scenes to make it more user friendly and search engine friendly. We still lots of work to do, and things will improve on the future.
New Category: Watch Anime and Movies Online. First, this category has nothing to do with us hosting Anime series or Movies on our site. We do not encourage illegal activities, but that’s up to you. These last few weeks we have been planning on what best ways to go with this site. Many of our experiments just failed and we thought that it went against the spirit of the site to have a site just with random updates from all over the internet. For that everyone can visit their favorite Anime news site to get updated on what is going on around the world of Anime. Of course, we will post some news that we think are important to us and if you know of any news we need to cover just let us know.
Instead, we think it would be good jus to focus on the Anime itself… like the history and some commentaries from some great Anime that have been created. It is difficult to keep up with all the current Anime and try to cover everything they deal with, since we have such a small team it is an enormous task to undertake and we have this site just as a hobby and not as a job or anything. With what we focus on we will try to be as informed as possible and to comment on just that.
We have introduced a few ads that we think would help us in the future promote some free “goodies” that some Anime fans might enjoy. Let us know if they are intrusive, we always listen to feedback and if they are too annoying we will think of another ways to show ads without distracting from the main content. You can also contact us if you wish to advertise with us or if you would like to have your site featured on our upcoming blogroll we can help each other out 
We also added a mini-store for Anime DVDs, it is on the experimental stages feedback is welcome.
On the upcoming weeks expect a few more changes in content wise… we think the technical side of the site is almost ready and if a new additions need to be added they will be done.

We decided to get our feet wet in YouTube and went into the wild to post our first video. Featuring House of Five Leaves, Black Rock Shooter, Working!!!, and Angel Beats!(TV). Of course since we are new to this whole editing video stuff there were some “bugs” in the video but anyways we will continue to learn how to do it better next time. If you have any Sony Vegas Tutorials that can be useful let us know in the comments.

We have added a “Gallery” section called “Screenshots” so from time to time we will add random Screenshots from series we enjoy. From there maybe someday we will bring up some wallpapers and other goodies. Feel free to tell us what Anime Series you would like to see Screenshots for and we will try our best.
Sadly, our host does not let us host the kind of gallery we want for users to contribute to it, but you can always leave in the comments links to your favorite screenshots if you wish to share and if another site has them just tell us and we will credit them.
Under the hood we have almost made a few changes and we have been trying to see what to add or to take away so it doesn’t slow the site down to a crawl. We are happy with the many visitors that have come like 100 a day not bad for a site just a few weeks old. Google still hasn’t picked up us on search results or maybe the program we using to monitor it is making some mistake. Anyways, it is all about having fun and nothing else.
We will try to have weekly updates on what is going on or so. Suggestions are always welcome and we love feedback in what we can improve.

Hello, and welcome to ThisAnimeIs.Me . My name is Yuriko, and I am the site administrator along side some good friends (they will introduce themselves later) that decided to put together a site for OTAs like ourselves. I know there are probably out there better OTAs than ourselves but thats alright we not claiming to be the ultimate OTAs. Just are very passionate about Anime and what it brings to our lives.
The site has been in the making for sometime now of course just as an idea and because we can’t be taken away from watching Anime!!! Anyways, in the upcoming weeks we will be improving the site and we expect feedback from the random OTAs the stumble here.

OTA — Under this tab is the “social” aspect of the site a mini-networking space for OTAs. Still needs work, but the basics are up. We will explain later what is the purpose of it.

Anime and comments go hand and hand thats why we decided to use CommentLuv to create a more interactive community. We also have on the works once more comments begin to come on a section for top the guest that comment the most. What this means? That you will be able to put a link on the “website” section and it will be allowed as long as your blog and comment both are beneficial for the Anime community as a whole. We are very open as to the kind of sites you have but it cannot be where you advocate child pornography or anything that is illegal within the United States. Sadly, this also includes linking to sites that just focus on lolita images stuff. Other than that just feel free to comment and we will try to comment back on your site.
